Local people of Khokana have clashed with police when the locals started to plant rice in their fields in Khokana.
The police tried to stop them from cultivating the land claiming the government already acquired it to construct the Kathmandu-Tarai fast track street. The locals argue that they have refused any compensation for the land and thy argue the project would displace them from their field.
