Krishna Maharjan has been crowned Miss Newa 2021 (N.S. 1141) in the grand finale of Miss Newa held today. Along with the main title of Miss Newa, she also won the title of Best Nepalbhasa. Maharjan has bagged one lakh cash prizes along with this title.
Priya Tandukar and Kristina Maharjan won the first and second runner-up in the event. Along with these titles, Tandukar also bagged the title of Miss Public Choice and Maharjan also bagged the title of Miss Charming. Other title winners in the event were: Miss Friendship, Miss Photogenic and Miss Talent Manika Khadgi, Miss Best Smile Saurya Shahi, Miss Best Screen, and Social Welfare Rohina Maharjan, Miss Best Hair and Miss Personality Lenika Dangol, Miss Discipline Angela Awale, Miss Best Dress Manisha Maharjan.
The Information and Culture Minister Parbat Gurung had inaugurated the event. This is the 15th edition of Miss Newa organized by Nepalese Fashion Home. The event was hosted by Miss Newa 2011 Sunita Dangol and Rozen Shakya, was broadcast live on Nepal Television and Newa: Pride Facebook page.
